“Personal advice to young women living in Nigeria who are single, don’t live alone by yourself. Have someone stay with you always. A friend, family member/s. It’s never a cool thing to live alone as a woman,” he wrote.
Responding to a follower who linked his comment to the recent death of female singer Ifunanya Nwangene, who reportedly died after a snake bite in her Abuja residence, Pere replied, “everything,” implying that multiple factors informed his advice.
He later clarified that living alone is “generally not good,” noting that his concern applies to both men and women, not just females.
