TikTok content creator Peller has apologised to Oginika, the woman he confronted at a restaurant, admitting that he was wrong but explaining that his reaction was influenced by the intense online hostility he has been facing.
The incident occurred after Oginika allegedly cautioned the streamer for being loud at the restaurant, a comment that reportedly triggered a heated exchange between them.
Peller’s response, which later surfaced online, attracted widespread backlash, with many social media users criticising his behaviour as unnecessary and excessive.

Addressing the controversy during a livestream, Peller expressed remorse for the confrontation, revealing that the constant wave of online hate he receives has taken an emotional toll on him.
“That girl that I meet in that food place that we exchanged some words, I’m sorry. But I’m traumatized,” he said.
He explained that negative comments in real life often hit harder because of the pressure he already experiences online.
“The hate I get online is a lot, and when someone says something negative in real life, it gets to me,” he added.
While offering an apology, Peller also suggested that the situation could have been handled differently, stating that he felt the manner in which Oginika addressed him was disrespectful.
“Oginika, I’m sorry. But you too no dey talk to people like that, e no fair,” he said.
The apology has sparked mixed reactions online, with some users commending Peller for taking responsibility, while others maintain that public figures should exercise greater restraint in public spaces.
