Veteran broadcaster and actor Patrick Doyle has expressed his satisfaction with how far his ex-wife, actress Ireti Doyle, has come in her career, particularly in upholding the Doyle name with dignity and professionalism.
Speaking in a recent interview on Wake Up Nigeria, Patrick reflected on his relationship with the award-winning actress, who confirmed their divorce in January 2023.
Despite their separation, he reiterated that he harbours no resentment and prefers to maintain respect whenever her name is mentioned.

“I would rather be silent than say something unpleasant about her,” he said.
Commenting on Ireti’s steady rise and continued relevance in Nollywood, Patrick applauded her achievements and the way she has represented the family name.
“I’m happy for her that the Doyle name has opened doors for her. And so far, she hasn’t disgraced the Doyle name,” he stated.
“She’s doing pretty well, and I am proud of her achievements in the industry.”
Patrick Doyle and Ireti Doyle, once considered one of Nollywood’s most admired power couples, continue to exemplify maturity and mutual respect as they pursue their individual paths.
