Oxlade reassured those going through difficult moments that challenges are temporary and that support is always available if they reach out.
“Hey there, I know things can be overwhelmingly tough… some of you might have been bottling it in for so long,” he wrote. “Survival can only happen if you’re alive to tell the tale. Please talk to someone so you can reflect if this is worth dying for.”
The singer added that ending one’s life would be selfish and devastating to family and friends, urging fans not to deprive loved ones of their presence.
“Don’t take your life please… don’t hurt the ones you love by depriving them of your existence. I’m here to let you know this too shall pass,” Oxlade said.
His message has been widely praised by fans and fellow artists for promoting mental health awareness and encouraging people to seek help during difficult times.
