American rapper Kiari Cephus, popularly known as Offset, has publicly addressed long-standing rumours linking him romantically to fellow rapper Saweetie, dismissing the claims as entirely false and unnecessary.
Speaking on a podcast hosted by actress and singer Keke Palmer, the former Migos member said the rumour was “weird” and “baseless,” adding that it had no connection to the real issues in his personal life.
“That whole Saweetie thing was just weird,” Offset said. “People just ran with it, but there was nothing there. It was strange and unnecessary.”

The rapper, who has faced intense media scrutiny over the years, also opened up about his troubled marriage with Cardi B, admitting that his mistakes, particularly infidelity, contributed to their separation.
“I messed up, and it cost me my marriage,” he confessed. “I made poor decisions, and it took a toll on our relationship.”
Offset and Cardi B, who share two children, have had a rocky relationship marked by multiple public breakups and reconciliations since their marriage in 2017. Despite their current separation, Offset maintained that they remain on good terms and that their divorce is not yet finalised.
“I got mad love for her. She’s my bro, for real,” he said, referring to Cardi B with affection. “We might not be together right now, but there’s still respect.”
The rapper also reflected on his emotional struggles following the tragic death of his cousin and Migos bandmate, Takeoff, in 2022, an event he said deeply affected his mental health and perspective on life.
“Losing Takeoff broke me,” he said. “That’s when I started looking inward. I had to face my pain instead of running from it.”
Offset shared that he has since been attending therapy and leaning on his faith to recover, overcome addiction, and grow as a person.
“I’m focused on becoming a better man now,” he said. “Therapy, prayer, and just taking accountability have helped me heal. I’m not the same person I was a few years ago.”
The rapper, who recently released his solo album Set It Off, says he is now channeling his energy into music, fatherhood, and self-improvement.
