Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has revealed plans to walk away from music once every member of his rap group, Anti World Gangstars, achieves success in the industry.
He made the statement in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he wrote, “Once all my n*ggas make it in music, I’m out.” The short but striking message has stirred conversations online, with many praising the rapper’s loyalty to his crew.
The singer is part of the Abuja-based hip-hop collective, Anti World Gangstars. The group includes five rappers, Odumodublvck, Agunna, Fatboy E, Reeplay, and Shagba, as well as their in-house producer and sound engineer, Cross. Together, they’ve built a strong underground following, but Odumodublvck remains the most popular and commercially successful member.

His breakthrough came in 2023 with the release of Declan Rice, a powerful single that caught national attention and pushed him into the mainstream. The track not only charted impressively but also earned Odumodublvck recognition as one of the leading voices in Nigerian hip-hop. The rapper later described the song as “the most impactful Nigerian hip-hop song ever.”
Since then, Odumodublvck has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music. He’s worked with Afrobeats superstar Davido, as well as British rap heavyweights Skepta and Stormzy. His unique style, a blend of street grit, cultural commentary, and energy, has helped him carve a niche in Nigeria’s fast-changing music landscape.
Despite his growing fame, Odumodublvck has remained loyal to his roots and to the team that supported him early in his career. The rapper has consistently used his platform to shine a light on his fellow crew members, frequently featuring them in his videos, shows, and interviews. Still, many of them remain unsigned or unrecognised by the wider music audience.

In interviews, Odumodublvck has made it clear that his journey is not just about personal gain. For him, success means more when shared with the people who were there from the start. This latest declaration, his intention to quit once his team finds success- only reinforces that message.
He didn’t provide further details about what his “exit” from music would look like or whether he plans to retire completely or simply take a back seat. However, fans believe it shows the rapper’s deep sense of loyalty and the selflessness behind his rise.
Many in the music community have praised Odumodublvck’s statement, describing it as rare in an industry often seen as cutthroat and competitive. For some, it was a reminder that behind the flashy performances and viral hits, there are friendships, shared dreams, and collective struggles.
Though he has only been in the mainstream spotlight for about three years, Odumodublvck has already made a lasting impact. His music often blends English with Nigerian Pidgin, street slang, and cultural references, connecting deeply with younger audiences across the country. His rise has also brought a new spotlight to hip-hop emerging from Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, a city not traditionally known for producing rap stars.
As the other members of Anti World Gangstars continue to work on breaking through, fans of the group will be watching closely. Odumodublvck’s bold promise has now become a mission, and his supporters are eager to see the entire crew rise together.
