Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has claimed that some of his colleagues in the music industry are envious of his achievements.
The ‘Pity This Boy’ crooner stated that the popular notion that he is “not lyrically gifted” stems from jealousy, insisting that his growing international recognition speaks for itself.

Speaking on the Toronto Ada’s Room podcast, Odumodublvck argued that despite the criticism, he remains one of the most sought-after Nigerian rappers globally.
“In Nigeria, they say that my rap is not good, but I’m the most featured rapper by international artists. I think it’s a thing of envy because I sing my hooks, my songs are hits, and I get more bookings than them,” he said.
He added that the resentment comes from artists who believe they are more talented but haven’t achieved the same level of success.
“The envy is deep, especially when they think they are better. But we pay no mind to that. We just continue pushing for those that believe. It’s very unfortunate for the people on the other side because this thing is not going to stop soon,” he added.
Odumodublvck further challenged his critics to prove their superiority through record sales and concert turnout, rather than mere claims of lyrical prowess.
The rapper, known for blending rap and Afro-fusion sounds, has gained massive attention both locally and internationally, collaborating with several global artists and consistently topping charts with his genre-bending style.
