Popular Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has openly expressed her frustration with her current relationship status, saying she is tired of being single.
The outspoken actress made the revelation during the latest episode of her talk show, Unfiltered with NBS, where she spoke candidly about love, dating, and the struggles of maintaining relationships in the public eye.
In a refreshingly honest moment, Nkechi admitted that she has never been single for this long in her adult life.
“This is actually the longest that I have been single,” she said. “I am literally tired of being single. Before, once I leave one relationship, two working days, I don find another relationship.”
Her remarks quickly went viral on social media, sparking a wave of reactions from fans and fellow celebrities. While some empathised with her feelings, others teased the actress playfully, pointing out her often dramatic love life and public breakups.
Nkechi’s comments come less than a year after her highly publicised split from her younger boyfriend, Xxssive, whose real name is Opeyemi David Falegan Jr.
The two had made headlines throughout their relationship for their public displays of affection, but by May 2025, the actress took to Instagram to announce that the pair had quietly parted ways since late 2024.

Before dating Xxssive, the 36-year-old actress was involved in a whirlwind romance with Ekiti-born politician Opeyemi Falegan. Their breakup in 2022 was messy and widely reported, with both parties trading accusations on social media. Nkechi later admitted that the public drama surrounding the split took a toll on her emotionally.
Speaking on her show, she reflected on the challenges of being a celebrity, navigating relationships in a space where every move is scrutinised. “Dating as a public figure is not easy. People have so many expectations about your love life, and when things don’t work out, it feels like the whole world is watching,” she said.
Despite her frustrations, Nkechi noted that she still believes in love and hopes to find the right partner soon. Her fans have praised her for being vulnerable about her struggles, with many saying her honesty makes her more relatable.
Relationship experts have also weighed in, noting that Nkechi’s experience reflects the realities of modern dating. “Many people feel pressure to be in a relationship, especially in their 30s,” said Lagos-based relationship coach Funke Ajayi. “It’s refreshing to see a celebrity normalise the feeling of loneliness and the desire for companionship.”
Nkechi Blessing is one of Nollywood’s most popular actresses, known for her versatility on screen and her unfiltered personality off it.
