American rapper and music icon Nicki Minaj has spoken out against the persecution of Christians around the world, describing it as a growing concern that humanity must not ignore.

Minaj also expressed appreciation to U.S. President Donald Trump and his team for recognizing Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” over repeated violations of religious freedom.
The designation, made under the International Religious Freedom Act, highlights countries where severe violations of religious rights have been documented.
In her heartfelt post, Nicki Minaj reflected on the privilege of living in a nation where people can freely worship God without fear of persecution. She wrote:
“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God.
No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.”
The rapper continued, warning against complacency and calling for empathy and global awareness:
“Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror & it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice.
Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”
Her comments come at a time when international watchdogs, including Open Doors International and Human Rights Watch, have raised concerns about attacks against Christians in parts of Africa and the Middle East. Nigeria, in particular, has witnessed ongoing tensions and deadly attacks linked to religious extremism.
Nicki Minaj, known for her outspoken nature and faith-driven reflections, has often referenced her Christian upbringing and belief in God.
Her recent statement highlights her conviction that faith, tolerance, and respect are essential values the world must uphold.
