Senator Ned Nwoko issued a strong statement on Monday denying claims that he had been in contact with his estranged partner, Regina, or that he wanted her to return to his home.
The senator released the statement through his communication team on his official Facebook page, where he stressed that his only concern at this stage was for her to receive urgent therapy and rehabilitation.
In the statement, Nwoko said Regina had been “completely under the influence of hard drugs” for months. He dismissed all her recent allegations, including accusations of drug use and sexual misconduct, as “lies from the pit of hell”. He said the claims were not only false but also a sign that she had been acting under a distorted sense of reality.

The senator’s team also shared what they described as a “verifiable WhatsApp message” he sent to Regina on 17 October.
The message showed him expressing deep frustration about her behaviour and warning her to return to therapy or check into a rehabilitation facility. He said he would stop funding her lifestyle if she refused to get professional help.
According to the team, Regina reacted violently after receiving the message. She allegedly damaged the senator’s cars and other items around the house.
The statement said the incident marked one of several troubling episodes that had taken place in recent months.
Nwoko said Regina’s behaviour had changed drastically over the past eight months. According to him, she stopped paying attention to her hygiene, ignored her living space, and often needed to be reminded to shower or sleep in her room. He said these habits were completely different from how she had behaved earlier in their relationship.
He also mentioned a disturbing moment when Regina allegedly recorded a video of him in the bathroom around 5 a.m. and then placed it online. He described the act as “irrational” and said it showed how unstable she had become.
The WhatsApp message released by the senator’s team gave more insight into the issues inside the home. In the message, Nwoko complained about late-night gatherings involving Regina and her friends, including reality TV star Phyna.
He mentioned several nights when loud music, drinking, and large groups of friends went on until morning. He also said he worried about his health and the effect of these activities on their children.
The senator said he feared that some of Regina’s friends had been supplying her with drugs. He warned her in the message that he would no longer provide financial support unless she returned to therapy or agreed to be checked into a rehabilitation facility in Asokoro.
The statement said Regina later agreed to therapy and briefly showed signs of improvement. However, she allegedly relapsed after her birthday celebration.
According to the senator’s team, she spent four days in a hotel in Wuse 2 with friends and returned to “drugs and violence.” The statement claimed that during those days, the group got into fights involving police officers and other guests at the hotel.
Nwoko’s communication team said the situation had now reached a level that demanded immediate medical and psychological intervention.
They stressed that the senator had moved his focus away from relationship issues and was now concerned only about Regina’s safety and well-being.
“For now, the focus is for all of us to take collective responsibility to ensure she goes in for therapy and rehabilitation,” the statement read. “At least let her stay alive for the sake of our two lovely boys. When clarity returns, truth will speak for itself.”
The statement ended by urging the public to avoid spreading unverified claims and to allow professionals to handle Regina’s recovery process.
