Popular gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has issued a stern warning to married men engaging in extramarital relationships with single women, saying such actions will attract grave consequences.
In a now-viral video of him addressing a congregation, the 44-year-old singer cautioned married men against deceiving young women and leading them on under false pretences, including lying about their marital status.
Bassey stressed that his warning was not a joke, insisting that those involved would face public disgrace.

“If you’re a married man and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on. Some even go as far as sleeping with them,” he said. “I place a demand on the grace of God upon my life. If you try it this year, you won’t survive. Your shame will not be forgotten. It will be on social media.”
He also warned against secret hotel meetings, adding that married men who lie about being single would not escape consequences.
“If you take a woman to a hotel and you lie, meanwhile you are married, you will not come out of that hotel. If you like, take what I’m saying jokingly,” he added.
The Hallelujah Challenge convener further cautioned women who knowingly engage in relationships with married men, saying material benefits would not protect them.
“You too, if you know a man is married and, because of greed, attention, Brazilian wigs, hair, or designer bags, you go ahead, you won’t survive it,” he warned.
Bassey urged both men and women to uphold integrity and moral values, emphasising accountability in relationships.
