Popular content creator and activist, Debo Adebayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being a party “filled with the most corrupt people.”
His comment comes amid the ongoing backlash trailing President Bola Tinubu’s recent presidential pardon granted to 175 convicted criminals, including drug barons, human traffickers, murderers, and illegal miners.
The controversial pardon has continued to spark outrage among Nigerians, with many describing it as a setback for justice and the rule of law.

A social media user, @DOlusegun, expressed concern on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “In saner climes, civil society organisations should be on the streets protesting pardon of the criminal alarms by now.”
Reposting the tweet, Mr Macaroni condemned the APC government, accusing it of hypocrisy and moral failure.
He wrote: “Every evil that the APC once condemned, they now practice and support. APC is a party filled with the most corrupt people surrounded by the worst sycophants. A marriage of doom and misfortune!”
The skit maker and social commentator, known for his outspoken activism during the #EndSARS movement, further criticised the APC for allegedly betraying the values of accountability and transparency it once claimed to uphold.
Mr Macaroni’s remarks join a growing wave of criticism from Nigerians and civic organisations, who have described the pardon as “a mockery of justice” and called on the government to reconsider the decision in the interest of national integrity.
