It is no longer news that actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, and her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, have announced they are expecting their first child.
What, however, appears to be new is the timing of the announcement, coming just three months after the couple held their traditional wedding ceremony in Lagos in April.
This followed their Muslim marriage in February and was completed with the final leg of the celebrations in Tanzania in May.
The pregnancy news, which attracted a flood of congratulatory messages from family, friends, and well-wishers, also sparked a wave of mixed reactions from fans and followers across social media platforms.
The New Daily Prime reported on the diverse reactions that trailed the announcement.

The couple’s relationship has remained in the spotlight since they met during a work trip in Rwanda. From romantic proposals to multiple wedding ceremonies and now a baby on the way, their journey has captured attention across Nigeria and Tanzania.
While some question the pace of events, others continue to celebrate with the couple using the hashtag #JP2025.
Whatever the opinions, Priscilla and Jux appear committed to embracing this new chapter in full view of the public eye.
Background
Priscilla and Jux’s wedding celebrations began with a Nikkah ceremony held on 8 and 9 February 2025 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
During the event, Priscilla adopted the Islamic name Hadiza Mkambala. However, the absence of her father at the ceremony stirred some early debate on social media.
Shortly afterwards, the couple hosted an engagement party in Lagos to coincide with Valentine’s Day.
This was followed by their traditional and white wedding, which took place in Nigeria on 17 April.
The grand finale of their cross-border wedding festivities was held on 28 May at the Superdome in Tanzania, drawing guests from Kenya, Uganda, the United States, and Nigeria.
The lavish ceremonies were planned and organised with the support of Priscilla’s mother, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, who described the celebrations as “carnival-like.”
According to reports, Priscilla personally funded as many as 16 wedding outfits, as Jux was unavailable for most of the planning process.
