Afrobeats rising star LOVN, born Charles Akinloye, has joined Mavin Records, marking a significant milestone in his fast-growing music career.
The announcement was made on Thursday by the label’s founder, Don Jazzy, who praised the young singer’s consistency, talent, and dedication over the years.
Don Jazzy revealed that LOVN first came onto his radar through his impressive performances on major talent shows, including Access The Stars and The Voice Nigeria.

Beyond competitions, the music executive said he closely followed LOVN’s journey on social media, where the singer consistently showcased his vocal strength, songwriting ability, and freestyle sessions.
According to Don Jazzy, LOVN’s work ethic stood out so strongly that he once stayed at the producer’s penthouse for three months, using the time to record new music and refine his craft.
To mark his official entry into the Mavin family, LOVN released his debut single under the label, titled “Sorry I’m Busy.”
The track explores the tough realities of hustling, financial pressure, and the relentless pursuit of success.
Accompanied by a visually striking music video, the project blends futuristic desert scenes with high-energy visuals that match the bold, gritty tone of the song.
With a powerhouse label behind him and a debut single already gaining momentum, LOVN is widely seen as one of Afrobeats’ next major breakout stars.
His signing further strengthens Mavin Records’ reputation for discovering and developing some of the biggest names in contemporary African music.
The New Daily Prime recalled that 2 weeks earlier, Don Jazzy, announced the signing of a rising talent, Cupidfszn, adding fresh momentum to the label.
According to Don Jazzy, Cupidfszn’s story began four years ago when the singer was just 17.
His father had reached out to Don Jazzy via direct message, hoping to draw attention to his son’s budding talent. The message went unseen due to the heavy traffic in his inbox, but the young artist remained persistent.
“Four years ago, a father who believed so much in his 17-year-old talented son, sent me a DM to listen to his son’s music. Unfortunately, I didn’t see that message as my DM choke,” Don Jazzy wrote.
Two years later, destiny realigned their paths. Cupidfszn, now 19 at the time, continued honing his craft and eventually crossed paths with the Mavin team. He later enrolled in the Mavin Academy, where he excelled and further strengthened his artistic foundation.
Now 21, Cupidfszn has completed his training and is stepping confidently into the next phase of his career as the newest artist under Mavin Records.
“As he is now 21 years old and ready to take on the next phase of his musical career, allow me introduce you all to the newest Mavin artist, @cupidfszn,” Don Jazzy added.
The announcement came with the release of Cupidfszn’s debut EP titled “Myth Era,” which is now available on major streaming platforms. The project marks his official entry into the mainstream Afrobeats scene and signals a new chapter for both the artist and the label.
The two rising-stars now join the home to stars like Rema, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Magixx, Bayanni, and Crayon, continuing to strengthen its reputation as a key incubator for the next generation of African music stars.
