‘I don’t womanise’, Timini Egbuson said
Popular Nollywood actor, Timini Egbuson, has dismissed widespread rumours that he is a womaniser.
According to the 38-year-old, his busy career and personal priorities leave no space for such a lifestyle.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Culture League podcast alongside Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface and comedian Bovi, Egbuson made it clear that he has been single for the past two to three years.
“A lot of people assume I’m a womaniser, but I’m not,” he said. “In the past two or three years, Nollywood has taken over my life in a way that there’s just no room. Except you’re very unserious, there’s no way to balance that with dating multiple women.”
Egbuson explained that his demanding work schedule makes it nearly impossible to maintain a relationship, let alone multiple ones. “I really wonder how some of my friends manage to juggle four or five relationships at the same time,” he said. “I spend the whole day on set, come back home tired by 11 p.m., and you expect me to start chatting with someone? I don’t have the energy for that.”
Despite the misconceptions about his personal life, the actor said he isn’t bothered. In fact, he admitted that he finds some amusement in the public’s view of him.
“I actually enjoy the bad boy image,” he said with a laugh. “It doesn’t really get to me. People will always talk.”
Timini’s statement offered a rare glimpse into the personal life of one of Nollywood’s most talked-about stars, highlighting the toll that fame and hard work can take on relationships.
- ‘Dating Nigerian men is tough’, BBNaija’s Uriel opened up
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Uriel Oputa, shared her frustrations about dating Nigerian men, saying it was a difficult experience for many women.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Outside The Box podcast, Uriel said it was increasingly hard to find a decent Nigerian man who is serious about relationships. According to her, many Nigerian men do not value depth or substance when dating, and this mindset has left many women single.
“It’s hard to date a Nigerian man,” she said. “I don’t understand why you people are so complicated. You’ll see women who are 35, 40, 41, 42, and they’re still single, even though they’re beautiful. Why? What’s happening?”
Uriel argued that the problem lies in a cultural mindset among Nigerian men. She claimed that many of them always believe there is someone better out there, instead of appreciating the partner they have.
“It’s hard to find a decent man in Nigeria,” she continued. “Nigerian men have a cultural belief that there’s always something better. But there’s nothing better.”
She also hinted that this attitude discourages women who are looking for meaningful connections. Uriel noted that relationships built only on surface-level attraction often don’t last, and many women end up heartbroken.
Her remarks sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some people agreeing with her and others defending Nigerian men.
Uriel is known for her outspoken personality, and she often uses her platform to discuss relationship issues and women’s struggles in the dating world.

- Angela Okorie said bullets stuck in her head
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie revealed that fragments of a bullet fired at her during a 2019 assassination attempt remain lodged in her head.
In a recent video showing her medical checkups, she explained that she spent two weeks moving between hospitals due to ongoing health problems. Her doctor advised her to rest in bed.
After several scans and tests, Okorie discovered more bullet fragments had appeared in her head over time. This caused blurry vision and frequent headaches.
She wrote, “The last two weeks have been very hectic. I went from one hospital to another, running tests on my head and body. I was not feeling well, so my doctor told me to rest. Good health is often taken for granted.
During my checkups, I found out there were still bullet fragments in my head. Over the years, more have shown up. But at the end of the day, God showed mercy. God is with me, and I praise His name. Amen.”
The actress was attacked by gunmen in December 2019, suffering multiple head injuries. She has accused people within the movie industry of planning the attack and said she will never forgive those responsible.
- Baba Frayo said 2Face and Annie Mismanaged Marriage
Veteran musician Baba Fryo said 2Face and his ex-wife Annie did not handle their marriage well.
In January, 2Face announced his separation from Annie. Soon after, he introduced Natasha Osawuru, a lawmaker from Edo State, as his new partner.
During a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Fryo claimed 2Face left Annie because she was not good at managing their home. He said men want women who support them, especially when they struggle with bad habits, not women who have similar problems.
However, Baba Fryo added that Natasha is no better than Annie. He revealed he has known Natasha since she was a child, saying, “I carried her on my legs when she was three.” He also mentioned that Natasha’s father, Desmond, was a close friend.
Baba Fryo explained, “2Face and his ex-wife didn’t manage themselves well. Both are entertainers; Annie is an actress, and 2Face is a musician. In marriage, when the couple go out, it’s the woman’s role to watch over the man. If he drinks too much, she should calm him down. But if she also drinks, who will take care of whom? This makes a man feel insecure. Then, if he meets another woman with a different attitude, he may be tempted.”
He clarified he wasn’t praising Natasha, just explaining the situation.
