Filmmaker and actor Kunle Afod has refurbished the home of renowned actor Lere Paimo, also known as Babe Onile Eda.
Kunle Afod, who turned 51 on October 24, wanted to surprise Lere Paimo for his 85th birthday by refurbishing his ancient house in Ogbomosho, his hometown.
“AFOD INSPIRES… Me and my team came together to transform PA LERE PAIMO’S House from old school setting to modern set”, he wrote on Instagram.
A video of the spectacular renovation process has leaked online, eliciting great praise from fans and industry professionals alike.
In the video, Kunle Afod recruited a team to rapidly execute the remodelling, converting the property from old to modern.
The team was then seen scrubbing the house’s tiles, while others painted the walls to add a new, aesthetic touch.
They also brought in a completely new set of chairs, giving the house a new, opulent, and sophisticated appearance.
The video also captured Lere Paimo’s emotional reaction as he stepped into his residence, amazed by the transformation.
Kunle Afod went ahead and presented a large sum of money to Pa Lere Paimo.
The New Daily Prime recalls that the Nollywood took advantage of his 51st birthday to reflect on the struggles of the last year.
Afod published fresh images of himself on Instagram, as well as an update on his experience over the last year.
Afod described the year as “tough and challenging,” revealing that there have been periods of grief and agony beneath the grin and laughter that are frequently seen in public.

Afod, affectionately known as “ADEKUNLE AFOD,” was recognised as “Omo iya nurse” and “Oko celeb wife.” She returned all praise and honour to God.
He emphasised that his birthday is a time of connection with God, and he prayed for comfort in the next year.
“The last year has been tough and challenging. Pain and agony even behind the smile and laughter you see out there, yet I choose to bring joy and happiness to people. But I bring to you, Lord, all glory and honor, and I say thank you, Father. I use this day as a point of contact with you, Lord; please comfort me. Every good thing I pray for shall be answered, in Jesus’ name. Happy birthday to me,” he wrote.
