Flyboy Inc., the management company representing Nigerian Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel, has issued an official statement addressing what it describes as a “false and malicious narrative” surrounding the cancelled Afrobeats Meets Berlin 2022 concert.
In a post shared on their official Instagram page, Flyboy Inc. clarified that Kizz Daniel, whose real name is Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, was contracted to perform at the Berlin concert scheduled for September 24, 2022.
According to the statement, the event’s promoter, Kejuro Media & Entertainment, “failed woefully” to fulfill key contractual obligations, including securing visas and booking flights for Kizz Daniel and his team.
“Unsurprisingly, the event did not hold because it was cancelled by the promoter due to reasons never expressly communicated with us nor relating to our artist,” the label stated.
Flyboy Inc. further revealed that after the cancellation, the promoter attempted to reschedule the concert to April 8, 2023 unilaterally. The label insisted that any rescheduling caused by the promoter’s breach of agreement would require “fresh commercial terms” and would not entitle the promoter to any refund of the deposit already paid.

The statement also pointed out that Kizz Daniel was not the only artist affected by the cancelled show, mentioning that performers like Teni and Diamond Platnumz were also billed to perform, but their performances never took place. Flyboy Inc. expressed concern over the disappearance of Afrobeats Meets Berlin social media pages and questioned the promoter’s motives.
“Regrettably, this same promoter has now resorted to malicious tactics aimed at sabotaging Kizz Daniel’s forthcoming Europe Tour,” the label alleged. They claimed the promoter had sent threatening communications to the lead Europe tour promoter, falsely alleging a breach by Kizz Daniel and citing a non-existent court judgment.
Flyboy Inc. categorically denied any wrongdoing, calling the allegations “false, misleading, and defamatory.” The label added that its legal team is reviewing all defamatory publications and may take legal action against the promoter and any third parties involved.
Despite the controversy, Flyboy Inc. assured fans that preparations for Kizz Daniel’s upcoming Europe tour remain on track, emphasizing that the artist is committed to delivering memorable performances across the continent.
