Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has called for swift justice following a tragic road accident in Auchi, Edo State, that left the younger sister of reality TV star Phyna fighting for her life.
The victim, whose name has not been disclosed, had just graduated from school six days before the incident. Her celebration was cut short when a truck allegedly linked to the Dangote Group rammed into her. The crash caused severe injuries that led to the amputation of one leg. Doctors are now battling to save her remaining leg.
According to Henshaw, the truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. However, an eyewitness, identified as a lecturer, gave chase and managed to apprehend him. Henshaw also alleged that the vehicle’s license plate had been removed, raising questions about attempts to conceal its identity.

She stated that the police are now in possession of the truck, which remains in custody. In a post on social media, the actress urged the Nigerian Police Force to take decisive action.
“She is the junior sister to @unusualphyna,” Henshaw wrote. “Whoever owns the truck should come forward. I’m calling on @PoliceNG and @BenHundeyin to make sure justice is served.”
The call for justice comes after Phyna herself went public with her outrage. The former Big Brother Naija winner accused Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, of failing to take responsibility. She claimed the truck belonged to the Dangote Group and alleged that efforts were underway to shield those responsible from facing the law.
In a series of emotional posts, Phyna described the incident as “devastating” and said her family had been left in shock. She demanded that the company admit fault and provide immediate assistance to cover her sister’s medical bills and rehabilitation.
Her accusations quickly gained attention online, sparking a wave of sympathy and anger. Many Nigerians took to social media to demand accountability, using hashtags to call for justice.
Popular social media activist, VeryDarkMan, also joined the campaign. He shared a graphic video showing the victim in a hospital bed, heavily bandaged and in visible pain. In his post, he called the accident “heartbreaking” and warned against any attempt to suppress the truth. “We cannot keep letting things like this slide,” he wrote.
As the case unfolds, all eyes are on the Nigerian Police Force and the Dangote Group. So far, the company has not issued a detailed public statement addressing the allegations.
For now, the victim remains in critical condition. Her family, friends, and supporters continue to plead for justice and adequate compensation.
The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety, corporate responsibility, and the slow pace of justice in Nigeria. Whether or not the matter is resolved quickly will likely determine the public’s trust in the authorities’ willingness to hold powerful individuals and corporations accountable.
