New Daily Prime reports that Joke Silva married legendary actor Olu Jacobs in 1985. The actor is 20 years older than her.
Speaking about their love story, she disclosed that while it was love at first sight for Olu Jacobs, she did not immediately feel the same way.
“Yes, we met on stage, and when we met on a movie set, everybody knew it was the great Olu Jacobs who was coming, except me. When he came, we got on very well and it was after we started dating that I discovered his age because he looked so good,” she said.
“For him, it was love at first sight but for me, it wasn’t. Older men allow you to get away with a lot of things,” she added.
According to reports, Olu Jacobs was 44 years old when he married Joke Silva, who was 24 at the time. Their union has produced two children and remains one of Nollywood’s longest-standing marriages.
