“From the moment we met, there was an unexplainable connection”
Love, they say, is written in the stars, but sometimes, it unfolds in the quiet corners of everyday life. For me, it began in 1988, fresh out of secondary school, when I moved to Ado-Ekiti—unaware that destiny was about to introduce me to my greatest love, Temitope.

From the moment we met, there was an unexplainable connection. He was a brilliant and ambitious student at Obafemi Awolowo University, and I was preparing for my JAMB examination. With a heart full of kindness and an intellect that inspired me, Temitope offered to tutor me in English. Those hours spent studying together turned into whispered conversations, stolen glances, and a bond so deep that even before I knew it, I had fallen in love. He became my anchor, my confidant, and the man who made my heart race with excitement and hope.
A Love That Defied Distance and Time
But love is never without its trials. Life took us down separate academic paths—Temitope transferred to the University of Benin to pursue his dream of becoming a medical doctor, while I enrolled at Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti. The distance was painful, yet our love grew stronger. We wrote long letters, filled with promises of forever. We spoke on the phone late into the night, imagining a future where we would never have to say goodbye again.
Years passed, and I graduated in 1997, stepping into the working world. But Temitope’s journey was not as smooth—his studies were delayed due to numerous university strikes. Despite the gap in our timelines, I never wavered. I supported him financially and emotionally, knowing that every sacrifice was an investment in the life we dreamed of sharing.
Love, I realized, is not just about grand gestures—it is about the quiet, unwavering support during the difficult moments, the certainty that you are walking toward a shared destiny, hand in hand.

“Our love will forever be our greatest adventure, our most beautiful journey, and the story we will continue to write, one heartwarming chapter at a time.”
After years of waiting, our dream became a reality in 2002—the year we finally became husband and wife. That same year, our love bore fruit as we welcomed a beautiful baby boy, filling our home with laughter, warmth, and a love deeper than we had ever imagined.
Fate continued to bless us. That year, Temitope secured employment at the Federal Hospital, the very place where I worked. It was as though the universe was aligning everything in our favor—two souls who had waited so long to be together were finally walking the same path, side by side.

Celebrating 23 Years of Love, Laughter, and Togetherness
On February 9, 2025, we celebrated 23 beautiful years of marriage—years filled with laughter, resilience, and unwavering devotion. We have been blessed with four incredible children, each carrying a piece of our love story within them.
Through life’s highs and lows, we have stood by each other, proving that true love is not just about romance—it is about friendship, trust, and a deep-seated commitment to weather every storm together. Our love is not just a story; it is a legacy—one that continues to inspire, strengthen, and deepen with each passing day.
As we reflect on the beautiful journey we have shared, our hearts are also filled with dreams for the future. We aspire to build a foundation that supports young couples, teaching them that love is not just about the good times, but also about holding on through the challenges.
We dream of traveling the world together, writing our story in the sands of different shores, proving that love does not wither with time—it flourishes. We hope to show the world that true love isn’t just about how it begins, but how it grows, how it endures, and how it remains as magical as the day it first started.
One thing remains certain—our love will forever be our greatest adventure, our most beautiful journey, and the story we will continue to write, one heartwarming chapter at a time.
