YouTube has released its official 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, highlighting the music videos, creators, and entertainment content that shaped viewing habits across the country.
The annual list reveals the platform’s biggest stars, with gospel singer Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye standing out as the year’s most-watched music video.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Addy Awofisayo.

According to the report, Gaise Baba led the music category with his hit track “No Turning Back II” featuring Lawrence Oyor. The video dominated the platform, becoming the most-streamed Nigerian music video of 2025.
Released in mid-May, the song quickly spread across social media and faith-based communities. Within six months, it gathered more than forty-one million views, earning strong engagement and widespread recognition from fans across the country.
