Popular Nigerian TikToker Peller has revealed that actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele came to his aid while he was in custody.
New Daily Prime reports that the content creator was arrested in December 2025 following an alleged deliberate car accident in Lagos State. Reacting to the incident, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) ordered his arrest and prosecution for reckless driving.

Speaking at the premiere of the movie Love Notes on Saturday, Peller recounted how Funke Akindele played a role in securing his release after they exchanged pleasantries at the event.
Expressing gratitude to the actress, he said:
“She was the one who helped me when I was in prison. She was the one who saved my life.”
His revelation has since sparked reactions online, with many fans praising Funke Akindele for her kindness and willingness to support others in difficult moments.
