Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Adekunle Olopade, has alleged that he was recently kidnapped and detained by operatives of the Nigerian Police Force in Lagos.
Narrating his experience in a post shared on his social media page on Wednesday, the reality TV star claimed that he was harassed, handcuffed, and held hostage for eight hours by some police officers under unclear circumstances.

Adekunle, who appeared shaken by the incident, described the encounter as traumatic, saying it could have ended tragically if not for divine intervention. He, however, did not disclose the reason for his alleged arrest or provide details about where it occurred.
“What a night! [I was] kidnapped, harassed, and handcuffed by the Nigerian Police Force in the last eight hours. This story could have been a completely different one, and no one would have known. But glory be to God, I’m alive today,” he wrote.
His revelation has since sparked reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the rising reports of police harassment and extortion, especially targeting young people and public figures. Others called on the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate Adekunle’s claims and ensure accountability.
Adekunle, who gained fame as a finalist in BBNaija Level Up season, is also known for his calm personality and outspoken nature.
As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian Police Force has not issued any official statement or clarification regarding the allegation.
