Davido sets flesh record on Spotify Nigeria with ‘Funds’

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, known as Davido, has recorded another milestone in his music career with his latest single. His new track, “Funds” featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, has broken Spotify Nigeria’s record for the biggest first-week streaming.

Previously, Wizkid’s hit song “Kese” held the record with 4.72 million streams. However, “Funds” surpassed that mark by amassing 4.82 million streams in its first week, making it the new record-holder.

The music monitoring platform, TheDebutHub, confirmed the achievement via a tweet, stating, “New record. Davido’s ‘Funds’ ft. ODUMODUBLVCK & Chike breaks the record for the biggest 1st streaming week on Spotify Nigeria. ‘Funds’ recorded 4.82M streams, surpassing ‘Kese (Dance)’ (4.72M).”

In response to the accomplishment, Davido tweeted, “We believe in God,” expressing gratitude and humility for the support from fans.
This achievement highlights Davido’s growing influence in the global Afrobeats scene and his ability to continue delivering chart-topping hits.
