Popular Nigerian socialite and entrepreneur, Cubana Chief Priest, has revealed that he will not be attending the highly anticipated wedding of Afrobeats superstar, Davido, due to a visa denial by the United States.
Taking to his Instagram page, the nightlife businessman expressed sadness over his inability to travel for the ceremony, scheduled to take place on Saturday in the US.
“I woke up with mixed feelings today because I will miss my best friend’s wedding,” he wrote.
In an emotional post, Cubana Chief Priest appealed to the United States embassy in Nigeria (@usinnigeria) for support in securing a visa, saying he remains hopeful despite the setback.
“I appreciate the bashing, because that has given me multiple reasons and proof to apply again @usinnigeria. Do it for me this time,” he said.
The well-known figure, who enjoys a close friendship with Davido, also noted how disappointed many people were to learn of his absence.
“You can clearly see how disappointed and hurt the world is to see me absent at my best friend’s wedding.”
He concluded the post with a heartfelt message to the couple:
“I’m wishing my best friend @davido & his beautiful wife @thechefchi an amazing wedlock.”
The wedding, one of the most talked-about celebrity events of the year, is expected to draw high-profile guests from around the world.
