Popular Nigerian media personality Chude Jideonwo has claimed that he has never dated a woman who made financial demands on him, stating that money has never been the foundation of his relationships.
Speaking during a recent interview with TVC News, the 40-year-old explained that his experiences with women have been built on mutual respect rather than financial expectations.
According to him, none of the women he has dated ever asked him for money.

Jideonwo further revealed that his first girlfriend, a single mother who earned more than he did at the time, was the one who supported him financially instead of making demands.
“I have never ever dated a woman who ever asked me for money. I have never! In fact, at some point, my first girlfriend who was a single mother and was already making more money than me, was the one assisting me financially instead of demanding from me,” he said.
Following the circulation of a clip from the interview on social media, Jideonwo’s comments sparked mixed reactions online, with many users expressing disbelief while others shared similar personal experiences.
The remarks have since reignited conversations around dating for financial reasons, gender roles in relationships, and the expectations placed on men as financial providers.
