Mrs Deborah Mbara, the woman whose cancer diagnosis report was allegedly altered and shared online by controversial relationship coach Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has finally spoken out.
Her reaction comes hours after the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Delta State chapter, called for the arrest of Blessing CEO over the alleged manipulation of a medical report belonging to another patient.

The controversy began a few days ago after Blessing CEO announced on social media that she was battling stage four breast cancer.
In a series of emotional posts, she appealed to the public for financial assistance, claiming that she had sold some of her properties and needed support to continue treatment.
To support her claim, Blessing shared a histology report which she said confirmed that she had cancer.
The document was allegedly issued by Xinus Medical Diagnostics and signed by consultant pathologist, Dr O.A. Odigwe.
However, shortly after the report went viral, questions began to emerge about its authenticity.
Xinus Medical Diagnostics later denied issuing any report to Blessing CEO and insisted that the document circulating online had been altered.
According to the diagnostic centre, the original report had been issued in May 2025 to another patient, Mrs Deborah Mbara, who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Following the revelation, Deborah Mbara broke her silence in a video shared on her Instagram page.
In the video, the make-up artist and cancer survivor narrated how Blessing CEO allegedly approached her and requested a copy of her cancer diagnosis report.
According to Deborah, she met Blessing sometime last year in Asaba, Delta State, when she worked as her make-up artist.
She explained that after Blessing publicly claimed she had cancer, she and some of her friends reached out to show support.
Deborah said they believed Blessing was genuinely going through a difficult time and even tried to encourage her with personal experiences.
“Sometime last year, Blessing CEO was in Asaba, and I was her make-up artist,” Deborah said.
“Fast forward to last week, when she started crying that she had cancer and said she had sold off her properties. My friend reached out to her to check up on her.”
According to Deborah, they also arranged for a doctor to speak with Blessing to guide and encourage her.
She said she personally shared details of her own battle with cancer and spoke about how she survived the illness.
“We even got a doctor on the call to help us educate her and encourage her. I was telling her how God saw me through my own and the scars,” she said.
Deborah alleged that during the conversation, Blessing asked her to send a copy of her original diagnosis report so she could compare it with the report she claimed to have received from her own doctor.
“She said, ‘Zazi, can you just please help me send the report of when you were diagnosed so I could compare it with the one my doctor gave to me?’” Deborah recalled.
Believing that she was helping someone in distress, Deborah said she agreed and sent the document without hesitation.
“I said okay, no problem,” she added.
However, she said she was shocked days later when she discovered that the same report had appeared online and was being presented as Blessing CEO’s own medical result.
“Only for me to see it on the internet on Friday that it was my result that she doctored to back up the nonsense and money people were donating to her,” Deborah said.
Deborah also reacted to claims allegedly made by Blessing that she did not know her or any member of her family.
She insisted that Blessing not only knew her but also had recently travelled to Asaba to plead with her family after the controversy became public.
“She said she doesn’t know me and has never spoken to any of my family. But she was in Asaba on Monday to beg my husband and my family,” Deborah said.
According to her, her husband demanded that Blessing publicly apologise and tell the truth about what happened.
“My husband told her to tender a public apology on social media and confess how everything happened,” she stated.
Deborah said she never imagined that the report she shared in good faith would be used for another purpose.
“I thought I was helping someone in need, not knowing she had a different agenda. This is evil,” she said.
The allegations have further intensified the controversy surrounding Blessing CEO, who has already come under criticism after later denying that she had stage four cancer.
In a recent interview, Blessing said, “I don’t have stage 4 cancer. That was a miscommunication.”
The NMA has since urged security agencies to investigate the matter and take action against anyone found guilty of altering or misusing medical records.
The association also warned that such actions could undermine public trust in medical institutions and create unnecessary fear and confusion.
