The video quickly went viral, with many social media users accusing her of hypocrisy, pointing out that she had previously defended IVD when his late wife’s family accused him of domestic violence.
Critics argued that her recent post was a contradiction of her past stance and questioned her credibility as a relationship coach.
However, amid the backlash, Blessing CEO issued a clarification, insisting that her post was misunderstood and had nothing to do with domestic violence. She explained that the video was recorded during a robbery incident, not an altercation with her partner.
In a new video, she said:
“You all should bring proof that I was beaten by IVD. IVD is someone’s brother, he is someone’s son. Why do you want me to lie that he beat me? Why do you people want to force me to accept domestic violence that doesn’t exist?”

Blessing CEO also called out bloggers and social media commentators for spreading false information, stressing that people were quick to jump to conclusions without verifying facts.
The relationship therapist, known for her bold opinions and controversial takes on love and marriage, maintained that she remains in a stable relationship with IVD and that there was no case of assault.
Meanwhile, reactions continue to trail her statement, with fans divided over whether to believe her explanation. While some sympathized with her and urged the public to stop spreading unverified claims, others argued that her frequent social media dramas make it difficult to separate truth from sensationalism.
As of the time of filing this report, IVD has not publicly addressed the controversy.
