Famous Nollywood actress, Biola Adebayo recently recalled some of the challenges she encountered as a coming-up star. She shared this in a recent interview with Nollywood on Radio, the actress said, “I’ve had roles taken away from me because I refused to date certain people. Someone even tried to convince me to bleach my skin, saying I just needed to ‘tone it up a little.’ The person used the word ‘tone’ at the time.”
Furthermore, Biola reflects on the inspiration of her podcast “TALK TO B” she described, “I have the gift that a lot of people just want to talk to me for some reasons best known to them. I have had to keep a lot of people’s secrets. Even people that I am not close to confide in me, saying ‘Can I talk to you? I have been able to keep those things for decades. Beyond being a regular presenter I ask myself how can I impact into people’s lives in my own way. What can I do to meet at a point with an ordinary person that I don’t know”?
Remembering her achievements with her podcast, the actress disclosed, “Many lives have been transformed through the podcast. For somebody that some of you may know, we have been able to raise over 10 million naira. We have been able to raise over 35 million naira for somebody to help people who need accommodations. We have been able to help people who have marital challenges, people who need urgent help, people who need therapy and counselling. There are people who have been molested, people who don’t even have anywhere to go”.
However, Biola Adebayo is a successful actress who has featured in different Nollywood movies and who also determined to add value to society through her podcast
