Winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has expressed her desire to collaborate with award-winning filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele, whom she describes as her biggest inspiration in Nollywood.
The 23-year-old reality TV star made this known while speaking to journalists shortly after receiving her ₦150 million cash prize and brand-new SUV at the prize presentation ceremony held in Lagos on Tuesday.
Imisi, who captivated fans with her expressive personality and acting skills during her time in the Big Brother house, said the experience reignited her passion for acting and filmmaking.

“I think people saw a lot of my acting side while I was in the house. Even my fellow housemates said I’m a natural actress. I’m ready to do more,” she said. “Funke Akindele is my number one mentor. I really hope to work with her one day. I also admire Bimbo Ademoye and Bolaji Ogunmola, they inspire me a lot.”
Speaking on her win, Imisi described the experience as “overwhelming,” admitting that she is still trying to process the love and support she has received from fans across Nigeria and beyond.
“It’s still sinking in. The support has been massive. I feel so loved,” she said.
When asked about claims that ethnic support influenced her victory, Imisi gave an honest response, acknowledging that while cultural solidarity might have contributed, her authenticity resonated more with viewers.
“Maybe. Yoruba people are very supportive of their own, so that might’ve played a role,” she admitted. “But honestly, I believe people connected with my realness and vulnerability.”
Imisi also took a moment to appreciate her Celestial Church community, revealing that their constant prayers and encouragement helped her stay grounded throughout her time in the house.
“I’m very grateful to my Celestial Church family. Their prayers meant a lot to me. I felt their love and strength even when I was isolated from the outside world,” she said.
Now emerging as one of the most talked-about reality stars of 2025, Imisi said she plans to use her platform to pursue a solid career in entertainment and personal growth.
“Fame is new to me, but I’m ready to learn and grow,” she noted. “I’ll seek mentorship and be intentional about my next steps. I want to make an impact that lasts.”
Imisi’s humility, talent, and determination have quickly made her a fan favorite beyond the Big Brother house, and her dreams of stepping into Nollywood under the mentorship of Funke Akindele signal what could be a promising new chapter in her career.
