The housemates of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10, also called 10/10, have lost their first wager challenge of the season.
The task, which took place on Friday, required the housemates to stage a dramatic performance centred on a ball-themed party with elements of mystery and unmasking. But despite the anticipation and buildup, the presentation failed to meet expectations.
Big Brother, fondly referred to as Biggie, gave his verdict shortly after the task ended. He didn’t mince words.
“Such an unremarkable performance,” Biggie said. “Housemates, your presentation lacked imagination and substance. Big Brother’s verdict will be as disappointing as your performance. You have lost your wager.”
The loss means the house will not receive fresh groceries or luxury items for the week. Instead, the housemates will have to manage with the limited food and supplies already available.
Beyond the failed performance, Biggie also issued a stern warning. He called out the housemates for slow responses and frequent microphone violations during the task. These infractions, he noted, contributed to the overall poor showing.
What is BBNaija wager challenge
Wager challenges are a weekly tradition in the Big Brother Naija house. Each week, housemates are given a group task that tests their teamwork, creativity, discipline, and communication.
A successful wager earns them a well-stocked fridge, toiletries, and other comfort items. Failure, on the other hand, often leads to food scarcity, increased tension, and blame games.
This early loss has set the tone for what could be a stressful week in the house. With emotions already running high in the opening days of the season, viewers can expect drama, conflict, and perhaps renewed determination from the housemates as they seek redemption in the next challenge.
For now, the 10/10 crew must face the consequences and regroup. The loss serves as a reminder that in Biggie’s house, effort alone isn’t enough, execution matters.
