Big Brother Naija Season 10 finalist, Kola Omotosho, has firmly dismissed speculations about a romantic relationship with the show’s winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi.
Despite their close bond during the reality show, Kola stated that there was never any romantic connection between them and that he sees Imisi strictly as a sister.
The pair’s undeniable chemistry during their time in the Big Brother Naija house had sparked widespread fan speculation, with many viewers rooting for them to become a couple.

They were frequently seen together on the show, supporting each other through various challenges and even referring to themselves as “siblings.” However, Kola has now made it clear that their relationship never crossed into romance.
Addressing the ongoing rumours during a recent livestream, Kola expressed frustration over the persistent questions about Imisi, saying the topic had overshadowed discussions about his personal growth and career after the show.
“Imisi is my sister, I can’t marry my sister. Imisi is in her house, I am in my house. Please, can we make this about me?” he said, visibly irritated by fans who kept linking him romantically with the winner.
Following the end of the reality show, the duo made several public appearances together, reigniting talks about a possible secret romance. Many fans took to social media to ship the two, praising their on-screen chemistry and shared moments of emotional support during the competition.
However, Kola’s latest statement has put the rumours to rest. According to him, his friendship with Imisi is purely based on mutual respect and shared experiences from the Big Brother house, not romantic interest.
During his time on the show, Kola also shared a brief emotional connection with fellow housemate Dede, though the pair never developed a romantic relationship.
Dede, who was in a committed relationship outside the house, had maintained a respectful distance despite Kola’s visible admiration.
In a post-show interview, Dede clarified that even if she had been single, she would not have dated Kola because they were “not compatible.” She added that their friendship was genuine but lacked the chemistry needed for a romantic relationship.
“I like Kola as a person, but we’re not a match. He’s amazing, but sometimes chemistry isn’t about effort, it’s about connection,” Dede said.
