Popular Nigerian actor Tayo Amokade, professionally known as Ijebu, has called for the arrest of content creator King Mitchy following a controversial TikTok livestream.
The call comes amid widespread social media reactions to a viral video in which King Mitchy was seen consuming a household cleaning substance during a live session in what was described as an attempt to harm herself.
The incident reportedly followed her ongoing online dispute with influencer VeryDarkMan.

After the livestream, King Mitchy’s management claimed she took the drastic step due to intense online attacks from VeryDarkMan and his supporters.
The development has since generated heated conversations online, with concerns raised about the growing trend of creating self-harm–related content for social media engagement.
Reacting in an Instagram video, Ijebu urged law enforcement authorities to intervene, stressing the potential negative impact such content could have on young viewers.
“I want to pass this message especially to the police monitoring social media. We have children between ages 10 and 21 who have access to these platforms. A product meant for cleaning should not be turned into something associated with self-harm,” he said.
Ijebu argued that influencers with large followings should serve as positive role models rather than promote harmful behaviour.
He called on authorities to take action against individuals who use social media to promote or dramatise self-harm.
The incident has reignited conversations about mental health awareness, responsible content creation, and the role of regulatory bodies in monitoring online platforms.
