Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has appealed for calm as speculation about his marriage to Natasha continues to dominate social media discussions.
In a video message shared on his Facebook page, the veteran singer expressed concern over how exaggerated online narratives and fan reactions are escalating the situation, describing the trend as “getting out of hand” and “dangerous”.
2Baba emphasised that while he is “perfectly okay”, the circulating rumours are exposing his wife to unnecessary risk.

“I know what fans can do, I know what people can do. I am perfectly okay. But this is putting Natasha at risk. It’s not fair to anyone,” he said.
Calling for restraint, he urged friends, family members, and followers to stop fuelling the controversy and allow the matter to be handled privately.
“People will get their issues sorted at home, not today. Please, I beg you. I am perfectly fine. Please, I’m okay,” he added.
His plea follows growing concern from fans and celebrities after recent reports of tension between him and his wife, with online conversations intensifying over the past week.
The singer’s public intervention appears aimed at quelling speculation and protecting his family from further scrutiny.
As reactions continue to pour in, 2Baba’s message serves as a reminder of the real-world impact of social media commentary on private lives.
