Tada! Movies for the Weekend
It is finally February after 1000 days of January. Yes, relax! Against all odds, take a moment to relax and savor the newness of a new month. To chill this weekend, I have got quite a handful of Netflix movies you can chill with this weekend.
I am sure you are done with your weekend chores.
Some are second sequels of movies we loved from last year. I trust that salaries, wages, and monthly stipends have been paid so there should be enough to buy popcorn for maximum relaxation.
Movies for the Weekend 1: The Recruit
Release date: January 30, 2025
The Recruit ended on a suspenseful note which made viewers in dire anticipation of a second season. Frankly, starting with the second season, I realized I might have forgotten a lot of what happened in the last season. If you are like me, you might need to juggle your memory but watching the last season. Or if you have never watched the show before, now is your time to binge-watch the two seasons.
Noah Centineo plays the main role of a CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks in the show. With a constant dilemma of being by the bench or in the field, Owen continues to explore the CIA world but this time with a Korean intelligence agent Jang Kyun (Teo Yoo) on the mission.
Movies for the Weekend 2: Night Agent
Release date: January 23, 2025
In the same vein, you can watch the second season of Night Agent if you have watched the first season. Night Agent was quite a buzz when it was newly released. The plotline intricacies and the concept of the movie were quite good which made the show have its fans who have been anticipating another season.
According to Vulture, The main story revolved around Project Foxglove and Viktor Bala’s plot to carry out a devastating terrorist attack in New York City, an attack that Night Action was ultimately able to avert.
Trauma Code: Heroes on Call
Release date: January 24, 2025
Here is something Korean on the list! This is Netflix’s first Korean medical drama and brushing through the scenes, a truthful viewer of the show might be able to bag a medical degree after watching it. Jokes on me!
‘Baek Kang-Hyuk (Ju Ji-Hoon) is a genius trauma surgeon who has performed surgeries in conflict zones around the world. He is confident in his abilities and has a bulldozer-like personality when he thinks he is doing the right thing. He begins to work at a university hospital and leads the severe trauma team there. The severe trauma team is a double-edged sword for the university hospital.’- Asian Wiki
