The Senate of Lagos State University (LASU) has called off its strike and approved the resumption of academic and social activities across the institution, effective Wednesday.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, LASU confirmed that the decision was reached during a Senate meeting held the previous day.
The move followed the Joint Action Committee’s (JAC) resolution to end its industrial action on Tuesday, 12th August, after a productive meeting with the Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, on 7th August.
