The Wife of the Governor of Delta State, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has taken a significant step towards advancing inclusive education by donating tailored learning aids to children with special needs in Aniocha South and Aniocha North Local Government Areas (LGA).
According to the post shared on Thursday via X formally called Twitter, the donation marked the official start of the 2026 outreach programme of the You Matter Charity Foundation, aimed at providing support for vulnerable pupils and enhancing teaching and learning outcomes in schools for children with special needs.
During her visits to Abuanor Primary School, Ogwashi-Uku, and Martin Education Special Primary School, Ubulu-Uku, the First Lady emphasised that providing appropriate learning materials would help bridge educational gaps while supporting teachers in delivering effective lessons.
Deaconess Oborevwori further stated that the You Matter Charity Foundation would continue to champion the welfare of vulnerable children, creating safe and supportive learning environments across the state.
Also, the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure that all children, regardless of ability, have access to quality education.
“She explained that the intervention was designed to bridge learning gaps and support teachers, adding that through the You Matter Charity Foundation, efforts would continue to address the needs of children with special needs and promote safe, supportive learning environments across the state,” the post noted.
