The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a notorious drug kingpin, Sunday Ibigide, 36, in Asaba, Delta State, three years after he was declared wanted for trafficking offences. The agency in a post on Sunday, Ibigide was arrested on 10 August 2025, while attempting to transport 250 blocks of cannabis skunk weighing 138kg in a distribution bus. He had been on the run since 19 March 2022, when 24.1kg of cannabis and 10 grams of molly were linked to him. One of his aides, Clement Osuya, 27, was also arrested.
