Nigeria has achieved a significant victory in its counter-terrorism efforts with the capture of the leaders of two major terrorist organisations, Ansaru and Mahmuda. A Court of Appeal in Sokoto has ruled against former Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle, affirming that more than 40 official government vehicles in his possession were not his personal property. The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has paid out ₦86 billion in student loans, benefiting 449,000 students.
