The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, has revealed that the country’s mining sector recorded impressive growth in the first quarter of 2025. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Olayemi Cardoso to confirm whether the apex bank has begun transferring funds directly to Nigeria’s 774 local government councils from the Federation Account.
