Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has passed away. Her death was confirmed in a statement released on Friday by the Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued certificates of return to the newly elected Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, along with his Deputy, Dennis Idahosa. The Federal Government (FG) has approved an increase in the monthly allowance for corps members to seventy-seven thousand Naira (N77,000), effective from July 2024.  This decision aligns with the provisions of the newly enacted National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024.
