Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have expressed deep concern over the macroeconomic policies of the Federal Government (FG), which they say have worsened hardship across the nation.   In a communiqué issued in Asaba, the Delta State capital, after a meeting attended by 12 PDP governors, they called on the FG to urgently revisit and reform these policies to mitigate their adverse effects on Nigerians. In a significant move to boost domestic gas utilization, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and its partners launched five mini-liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State.  This groundbreaking event held yesterday, marks the commencement of construction for the plants, which are designed to enhance Nigeria’s energy capacity and economic development. The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, has stated that the continued stay in office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, is both legal and lawful.  Fagbemi’s remark comes amid the ongoing controversy over Egbetokun’s tenure, which was sparked by activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.
