The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered an immediate investigation into the tragic boat mishap that occurred on November 29 along the Dambo-Ebuchi waterways of the River Niger in Kupa Local Government Area of Kogi State.  The incident involved over 160 passengers, with 24 rescued and many others still unaccounted for. Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has announced that the newly approved minimum wage for workers in the state will take effect from December 1, 2024.
