A Magistrate Court sitting in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday ordered the remand of human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, in prison custody over an alleged defamation case against the founder of Afe Babalola University, Aare Afe Babalola.  Farotimi was arrested by officers from the Ekiti State Police Command on Tuesday at his Lagos chamber—was arraigned for allegedly publishing a book titled “Nigeria and Its Criminal Justice System.” In the book, Farotimi alleged Babalola of corrupting the judiciary and procuring judgments in the Supreme Court.
