A northeast Arkansas doctor’s licence has been suspended after allegations he performed a sex act with a staff member as other workers watched. Dr. David Diffine’s licence was suspended on an emergency basis Oct. 14, according to records from the Arkansas State Medical Board. The board found that Diffine’s actions “exhibit an ongoing danger to the public in his continued practice of medicine.” Diffine operates three family practice clinics – the Diffiner Family Practice – in Blytheville, Paragould and Bono, according to his website. The US Embassy in Nigeria, has disclosed that Nigeria ranks first in Africa and seventh globally in international students in the United States. The embassy quoted the 2024 Open Doors Report on International Education Exchange, in a statement on Tuesday. According to the report, for the 2023/2024 academic year, 20,029 Nigerian students enrolled in US colleges and universities, marking a 13.5 per cent increase from the previous year. An Ikeja Special Offences Court on Monday, sentenced Philips Fatuyi, ex-chairman of the Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria (NOGASA), to 21 years imprisonment for N43.5 million fraud. Justice Mojisola Dada, in her judgment, held that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) proved the two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretences and stealing against Fatuyi beyond reasonable doubt. Hezbollah and Lebanon have reportedly agreed to a ceasefire with Israel, subject to a number of comments in the agreement as the US envoy to the issue, Amos Hochstein arrives in Lebanon. Two Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), officers who were kidnapped in Delta State have regained their freedom.
