Police in New York have charged a man with murder after the assassination of UnitedHealthcare chief executive, Brian Thompson. Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old Ivy League graduate, was arrested in a branch of McDonald’s on Monday following a five-day manhunt. An Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court on Monday, sentenced a teacher, John Osifo, to life imprisonment for defiling an eight-year-old pupil. Delivering judgment, Justice Rahman Oshodi, held that the prosecution proved the charge of defilement against Osifo beyond every reasonable doubt.
