The Federal Government has renamed the University of Abuja after former military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon. Henceforth, the institution will be known as Yakubu Gowon University. Notorious bandit leader and arms dealer, Bako Wurgi, alias Baka NaGarba, has been arrested by troops of the 1 Brigade of the Nigerian army. The Police Command in Imo State has announced that it has killed four suspected kidnappers in Ezioha, Eziama community in Mbaitoli LGA of the state.
