World Wildlife Fund (WWF) International’s 2024 Living Planet Report states that in 50 years until 2020, monitored wildlife populations worldwide shrunk on average by almost three quarters. A 20-year-old undergraduate, Ganiyu Alabi, was on Wednesday sentenced to one year and two months imprisonment for engaging in an online love scam. Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Special Offences Court sentenced him, following his plea bargain agreement to the charge of possession of fraudulent documents. The defendant will serve his jail term at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre, in Lagos.
