A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court sitting at Maitama, on Tuesday, denied bail to Yahaya Bello, the immediate past governor of Kogi State. The former governor has been in detention since November 25. Henceforth, any airline that delays tickets refund to passengers will face severe sanctions, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has warned. Not less than 14 people were feared killed in an auto accident along Tage Bridge in the Kafin Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa State. According to eyewitnesses, the accident, which occurred on Monday when a vehicle conveying passengers somersaulted and plunged into the river. Chief Ezekiel Nwifuru Nwankpu, father of Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, has been crowned the traditional ruler of Oferekpe Agbaja Autonomous Community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
