Embattled human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, who is facing allegations of cybercrime has finally been granted bail by the Ekiti State Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti. The Ekiti magistrate granted Farotimi’s bail application on Friday morning. This comes days after the same court denied the human rights lawyer constitutional freedom. The court granted Farotimi N30 million bail with two sureties, one of who must be a house owner. The defendant must submit his passport to the court registrar and shall not grant any media interview. The Adamawa State Command has arrested a total of 715 suspects and secured the conviction of 292 suspects in less than 11 months. The Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, made this known during press briefing on Thursday, explaining that 387 suspects are awaiting trial and 36 are under investigation.
